Risk Taking 101

Recently I was asked, “What can I do to move ahead in my career?” Simply put, Women Need To Take More Risks To Become Leaders!
WCP_1630-Edit (1)Unfortunately, many of the hurdles that women have to overcome on their way to the top – are rooted in criticism! Women climbing the corporate ladder in stilettos, are criticized for taking risks if they have children if they are perceived to be too young or inexperienced; while their male counterparts are not subjected to such disapproval or criticism…

Nevertheless, I advocate that women take CALCULATED risks on the basis that they are essential for moving forward. And rather than listen to the criticism, focus on the manifestation of each goal and realize that it may also mean moving to a different department or even company! What’s your strategy when it comes to taking a risk? Share your thoughts below and empower someone else.
