Thank you to everyone that supported and attended or simply celebrated the 2nd Annual Everyday Business Conference: Money, Mindset, and Momentum. With celebrating 2 years in business on Monday, October 21st, I wanted to give you a little history of how we got HERE— to the 2nd Annual.
You see, when I hosted this event last year, it was my intention to give women an opportunity to learn how to shift their perspectives and mindset. How to allow their focus to be on increasing success and generating a catalyst to creating a life you love, by bringing three amazing women and yours truly to teach them how to do it.
2018 was also the year when I launched my book, Everyday Business: Conquering What Seems Impossible. A combination of narrative, application, inspirational quotes, and reflection to encourage the reader! It can still be found at each of my events and even Amazon!
It was also the year where 3 of my dear friends came in as sponsors for the event (after submitting a proper proposal of course) and 1 even attended. Not simply because we are friends, but because they are women in business, who started their own business. True Boss Ladies, they know what it’s like to make an idea happen and come to life, not just stun for the ‘gram! I will forever be grateful to them for their support and confidence.
2018 was also the year where the hotel lost our reservation (not this year’s Iron Horse Hotel of course) and my conference already filled, with no place to go and 30 days out. When I was stuck trying to decide what to do, my hero (Pastor Robbins), stepped in to save the day, opening Compel and flipping the space into a conference center, allowing us to continue! I so love that man…
Who was I to host a conference and not just be a presenter, yet again, for someone else? Who was I to think amazing– high powered– women would agree to be speakers? This is, of course, is why they are making a difference in our community…
I am still the one who will forever decree, “What seems impossible today, is Everyday Business in my future!”
Here in October of 2019, I am celebrating 2 years in business, the passion is the same, yet the purpose expanded. This year, I wanted attendees to realize the money is in your mind.
In Everyday Business Terms, success is right there, the 6″ between your ears, yet you have the choice to tap into it or simply let someone else birth your idea into the world. Because when God blesses you with an idea, it will come forth, and He is entrusting you to be the vehicle used to do it.
I am already planning for next year, but for this week– I want to simply reflect on the journey that has allowed us to arrive here! 2 years — Robbins’ Nest Consulting. Be a part of the inner circle and join this amazing community; start here.
