Here’s 1 Trend to remember as we prepare to close out 2019.
The 9 to 5 full-time employment model no longer makes sense and in some industries is changing altogether.
Research and studies have shown that long working hours make you less productive. And leaders, at any level, need to revise their employment model to put individual performance as the foundation of personnel development – regardless of where it physically takes place or at what time.
1 of The 7 Steps in my Signature System For Women Leaders is, includes teaching them the right move to take as they approach the C-Suite! Here’s one thing I coach women leaders to remember: when negotiating your work schedule, remind your the organizational representative that working on the go, at home or allowing flexible hours outside of the traditional 9 to 5 office environment can work wonders in productivity.
In addition, I also consult with company heads and HR leads, that as the leader you are acknowledging that each employee has a personal life and you respect it.
I go on to teach that building work around their personal life can generate huge loyalty to you as the leader/company and generate more effective results if planned properly.
Finally, for reaching and responding to the needs of the millennial worker, this approach is an excellent way to acknowledge the desire of “purpose” and “meaning” in their work.
